The Wickersley Neighbourhood Group (WING) meets every Wednesday afternoon during term time at the Barn Church Hall, Church Lane, Wickersley S66 2HD.
There will be four meetings in October, but please note that there will be no meeting on Wednesday 29th October due to the school half-term holiday.
WING is a social group supporting elderly or isolated people in the Wickersley area, helping members get out of their homes for one afternoon a week. Meetings begin at 1.30pm with refreshments, followed by an activity or entertainment that everyone is welcome to join in with.
Activities include performances by musicians and singers, table games, bingo, shared meals and guest speakers. After the activity, more refreshments are served and a raffle is drawn.
If transport is needed to attend, Anne Hudson can be contacted on 01709 542873. She will arrange a place on the Community Bus, and a volunteer helper will assist with getting on and off the bus both at home and at the Barn.
New members are always welcome.
