WING (Wickersley Neighbourhood Group) is a social group for elderly or isolated people in Wickersley, Bramley, Flanderwell, or Sunnyside. The group meets on Wednesdays during term time from 1.30pm to 3.30pm in the Barn Church Hall, Church Lane, Wickersley, S66 1ES.
Activities vary each week and include performances by musicians and singers, table games, bingo, quizzes, shared meals, and speakers on different topics. Transport can be arranged from home to the Barn for meetings.
Anyone interested in joining WING is encouraged to contact the secretary, Anne Hudson on 01709 542873. The first meeting this month will be on Wednesday 10th September.
Offers of voluntary help are welcome from any teenager or adult who has free time on Wednesday afternoons. Help is needed to serve refreshments, join in with the activities, or assist with bus escort duties, bringing members to and from the Barn.
