What do participants receive?
A bespoke medal, created by the committee, in the shape of a ‘W’ – for Wickersley, for Walker, and for every winner who crosses the finish line.
Team Nick is a group of former Wickersley students raising money in memory of their friend and former student, Nick Walker. Since 2009, the group has raised more than £115,000 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Their latest challenge is organising the Wickersley 10K – a closed-road circuit run through the streets of Wickersley, taking place on Sunday 16th March.
The event aims to bring the community together, involving local businesses, current and former students, as well as friends, families, and work colleagues – whether running, sponsoring, or volunteering.
Those unable to take part are encouraged to support the event by cheering on the runners or sponsoring them, helping to raise vital funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
