There’s a whole host of events and things to do in our area this month:

Clifton Park Museum
125th Birthday Extravaganza
Friday 6th July, 4.00pm to 8.00pm
Enter a world of Victorian curiosity, delight and intrigue as we celebrate our 125th birthday at Clifton Park Museum. Drop in at any time during the evening to enjoy the strange and wonderful world of the Victorians.
Free entry — fun for young and old

Saturday Craft Club – Rainbows
Saturday 14th July, 10.30am to 1.00pm
Drop in for some rainbow themed crafting. This event is suitable for four to 11-year olds.

Flash Lane Field, Bramley
Dry Land Regatta
Saturday 7th July, 12.00pm to 5.00pm
Bramley and Wickersley Lions present the Dry Land Regatta, family fun day, stalls, rides, things to do, things to eat, things to make, things to drink… Bring a boat or make one on the day.

Herringthorpe Stadium
Rotherham Hospice Summer Baa-La 2018
Saturday 21st July, 12.00pm to 4.00pm
This country style event is a fun family day out with a jam-packed agenda to raise funds for Rotherham Hospice, with the main attraction being sheep racing, dog shows, birds of prey, live music and performances and much more. There will be a BBQ, prosecco bar and stalls filled with treats and more. There will also be family games such as egg and spoon race and tug o war to get involved with.
£2.00 per adult, 50p per child and £5.00 family ticket

Clifton Park
Rotherham Pride 2018
Saturday 14th July, 11.00am to 6.00pm
Rotherham Pride is in its sixth year — it is a fun-filled and inclusive event featuring live entertainment. There are following new features for Pride 2018: march (Heart of Steel 10.30am, last entry 10.50am); young people’s area; volunteer opportunities for young people, family and children area, workshop and activity area; health and well-being zone; BSL interpreters.

Rotherham Civic Theatre
Disney Spectacular and Musical Extravaganza
Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th, Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th July, 7.00pm and 2.00pm Saturday matinee
Born to Perform present the wonderful world of Disney and the full glamour of the musicals through song and dance.

Forbidden Nights
Thursday 19th July, 7.30pm
Indulge yourselves in a two-hour production as world-renowned circus artists perform heart-racing tricks in an electric fusion of daring routines, acrobatics and provocative choreography with the ultimate Forbidden Tease and a few men in uniform thrown in for good measure. As seen on Britain’s Got Talent.

Festival of Family Fun
Wednesday 26th July, 10.30am to 3.30pm
Lots of fun awaits you at this free family event, including the Magic Circus Show, Circus Avago, workshops from Rotherham African Drummers, face-painting, storytelling, crafts and cupcake decorating. Part of Summer Mix, bringing you events and activities for adults and children in and around Rotherham town centre.

Spoon Bills
Sunday 15th July, 10.00am to 3.00pm
Spoon club — learn some wood working skills by carving a simple spoon. Whittle your woes away at this satisfying and therapeutic session.

Potteric is 50 Big Weekend
Saturday 21st July and Sunday 22nd July, 9.00am to 5.00pm
Free entrance to the reserve to celebrate Potteric Carr’s Golden Jubilee. There will be lots to get involved with on self-led trails, drop in wild play, helpers in the hides, Marsh Harrier viewing posts and more there’s lots for all to do. Most activities are free of charge but there will be a couple of ticketed items for our special guests.

Weekend Wild Time — Pond Dipping
