What’s on at St Bartholomew`s

by | 6 February 2018 | Notice, Rotherham

January and February seem to be a period of reflection in St Bartholomew’s. A time to take stock after a very happy, busy Christmas period. The church was pleased to receive so many visitors in Christmas week. Three of our local schools held their own carol services. It’s a joy to see so many young faces in church. As is usual, well over 200 people attended the Christingle service on Christmas Eve. Adding to all who came to the carol service and midnight and Christmas day Eucharist, around 1,000 people crossed the threshold into the church during this joyful time.

Coffee and Company has resumed after the Christmas break. If you feel you would like company between 10.00am and 12.00pm on a Tuesday morning you will be made very welcome. The church rooms are much more comfortable these days having been carpeted throughout each of the rooms and a brand new central heating system installed. It is now an ideal venue for anyone to hold a meeting, children’s party or social gathering. It is warm, clean, and well equipped with cutlery and crockery and parking. To enquire about hiring of the rooms call 01709 814052.

Services at St Bartholomew’s are at 10.45am on Sundays. An all age service is on the first Sunday in the month. On Wednesday, Eucharist is at 9.30am. The church is open from 6.00pm to 7.00pm every Monday evening (except bank holidays) for the booking of a baptism or a wedding. No need to book an appointment, just call in, you will be welcome
