Services in St Alban’s Church, Wickersley on Sundays are as follows: Communion at 9.15am, All Age Worship at 10.45am, and Evening Prayer at 6.00pm. A regular midweek service also takes place on Thursdays at 10.00am in the Barn Church Hall.
A special service for Ash Wednesday will be held on Wednesday 5th March at 7.00pm. Lent Lunches will begin on Thursday 6th March and will take place in the Blessed Trinity Church Hall on Northfield Lane every Thursday in Lent from 12.00pm to 1.00pm until Easter. These lunches, open to all, will include cheese or meat paste sandwiches, scones, hot cross buns, and hot drinks. Proceeds will go to Christian Aid.
St Alban’s Church Coffee Mornings will resume on Friday 7th March from 10.00am to 12.00pm in the Barn and will continue every Friday in March. These events will raise funds for a new church heating system.
The local annual World Day of Prayer Service will take place at Wickersley Methodist Church on Friday 7th March at 2.00pm.
Members of all four Wickersley and Bramley churches are invited to attend.
