The Interregnum continues at St Alban’s Church, Wickersley, and they are very grateful to local lay people and retired clergy for taking their services during this time. There are still three services on Sundays: 9.15am – Communion, 10.45am – All Age Worship, and 6.00pm – Choral Evensong, as well as a Thursday morning Communion service at 10.00am.
The fundraising initiative to replace the heating system in the church continues, with regular Coffee Mornings being held on Fridays in the Barn. The September Coffee Mornings will be on 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, running from 10.00am to 12.00pm in the Barn Church Hall. Coffee, cakes, and biscuits will be available, and a raffle will be held each Friday morning.
The next evening fundraising event will be An Evening with Dr Andrew and Susie Fox on Wednesday 3rd September at 7.00pm in the Barn.
Andrew and Susie will be sharing their life on Shetland. Tickets for the event will be on sale at the church, priced at £5.00, which includes refreshments.
