A Happy New Year from the RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch.

Goodbye to 2022

2022 was a great year; the Branch cared for over 1,000 animals, formed new partnerships and even managed to get their kennel refurbishment underway. Everything they have achieved has been thanks to their amazing supporters. Thank you to each and every person who has attended an event, donated, volunteered, fostered or gifted to the Branch throughout the past year.

Hello to 2023 events

RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch have many events planned throughout 2023, from sponsored walks to a drag show to their family fun day.

They will be starting the new year off with a sponsored walk; they are challenging supporters to walk 30 miles (or more) throughout January. The ‘Stepping Into 2023’ event gives you the freedom to walk however many steps or miles you desire, whilst helping to raise much-needed funds for the RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch. You can sign up for this event and download your sponsorship form at www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk/Event/sponsored-dog-walk-2023.
They will also be hosting a dog walk at Sandall Beat Woods on Sunday 29th January and hope to see lots of people with their four legged friends.

On Friday 24th February, they are holding a quiz at Parklands Sport and Social Club in Wheatley. It’s bound to be a fun-filled night so go down and join in. Doors will open at 7.00pm and the quiz will commence at 7.30pm, giving you enough time to grab a drink from the bar and buy a strip of raffle tickets which will be available on the night. You can buy your ticket at www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk/Event/quiz.

Fostering in the new year

The Branch are looking for fosterers to provide temporary homes for some of the dogs in their care. Many dogs do not cope well in a kennel environment and much prefer home comforts. They currently have several dogs at the centre who are looking for a temporary home, whilst they await their forever family.

Fostering an animal can help them recover from neglect, abuse, illness or injury – taking the first steps towards finding a new, loving forever home.

Being a foster carer has many benefits for both you and the animal you are inviting into your home. To find out more as well as how to apply to be a fosterer, see www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk/fostering.
