The RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch has many animals waiting for their forever homes. Can you give an animal in their care the best Christmas gift of all: a family? To see the animals available for adoption, visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk.
Fostering
The branch is looking for fosterers to provide temporary homes for some of the dogs in its care. As you might know, many dogs do not cope well in a kennel environment and much prefer home comforts. There are currently several dogs at the centre who are looking for a temporary home, while they await their forever family.
Fostering an animal can help them recover from neglect, abuse, illness or injury – taking the first steps towards finding a new, loving forever home.
Being a foster carer has many benefits for both you and the animal you are inviting into your home. To find out more, as well as how to apply to be a fosterer, visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk/fostering.
Stock the Sleigh
In preparation for the festive season, the RSPCA is asking for your support. They want to provide the animals in their care with as much love and feeling of a home as possible. Therefore, for Christmas 2022, they are relaunching the much-loved ‘Stock the Sleigh’ appeal, and they invite keen animal lovers and supporters to donate items.
These items can come in a variety of forms including food, toys and treats and can be brought to the animal centre or purchased through the branch Amazon Wishlist.
The RSPCA believes that Christmas cheer should be spread to our furry friends too. Your toy and treat donations will make great stocking fillers for the animals to open on Christmas morning while any blanket donations will help keep everyone nice and cosy in the colder months.
Staff at the branch wish everyone and all their creatures, great and small, a very Merry Christmas.
