Welcome to new President Martin Davis
It is a new Rotary year and Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club welcome Martin Davis as their new President for 2024-25. He takes over from Immediate Past-President Peter Short. Many thanks to Peter for an enjoyable and successful (second) year as the Club’s President. Rotarians wish Martin an equally successful year.
The Terry English trophy is awarded to the member who, in the opinion of the President, has done the most to raise the profile of the Club during the past year. This year it went to Tom Knight.
Peter Short, after reflecting on his time as President, handed over the Presidential chain to Martin Davis, who presented Peter with a Past President’s jewel and paid tribute to his work over the past year.
Eco-Greenhouse at Coleridge School
Presidents Peter and Martin, along with other Club members, visited Coleridge School to mark the official completion of the Eco-Greenhouse project.
Men in Sheds at the Swinton Lock Activity Centre
Rotarians also attended the grand opening of the extended area of Men in Sheds! The new area provides extra space for working and socialising. Already in use, the Men really appreciate the support of Rotherham Sitwell Rotary and the District Rotary Foundation Grant.
