Rotherham is gearing up for a weekend of celebration, creativity and family fun as the beloved Rotherham Show returns to Clifton Park for two action-packed days.

The region’s biggest free cultural festival will make a welcome return to Clifton Park on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September.

The much-anticipated event, expected to attract thousands of show goers from across the region, will once again transform the park into a vibrant hub of entertainment, with something for all ages to enjoy.

From live music and outdoor theatre to circus acts, sports, comedy and fairground rides, the Rotherham Show promises a weekend to remember.

Described as an “epic celebration of the borough and its people”, this year’s programme is bigger and bolder than ever, offering visitors the chance to experience the very best of what Rotherham has to offer – all in one place.

Among the many highlights are the return of crowd favourites such as the Strongmen Competitions, Companion Dog Show, Vintage Vehicle Display, and a host of roaming performers bringing throughout the park.

The Festival Village, delivered by Flux Rotherham, will also return, providing a colourful and creative space bursting with performances, workshops and interactive experiences.

Meanwhile, the Children’s Capital of Culture Area will showcase the incredible talents of Rotherham’s young people. Families can look forward to live music, creative workshops, and appearances from much-loved local organisations including Grimm & Co. and Wentworth Woodhouse – all offering a glimpse of what’s still to come during Rotherham’s festival year in 2025.

A wide range of stalls, street food, and local traders will also be on hand, offering everything from handmade crafts to tasty treats.

Organisers say the show is more than just an event – it’s a celebration of the community spirit that makes Rotherham special.

Councillor Lynda Marshall, Cabinet Member for Street Scene and Green Spaces, said: “The Rotherham Show is a true celebration of everything that makes our borough so special – its creativity, diversity, and incredible community spirit.

“With something for all ages, from live music and theatre to fun workshops and fantastic food, it’s the perfect way to spend the weekend with family and friends. I’d encourage everyone to come along, soak up the atmosphere, and be part of this amazing free event – you won’t want to miss it!”

The Rotherham Show is free to attend and welcomes visitors from across the borough and beyond. Gates open at 11.00am on both days, remaining open until 5.00pm.
