Rotherham Probus – going strong since 1970!

Are you are wondering what you can do in retirement? It can be tough deciding how to spend your well-earned leisure time.

Rotherham Probus is a place where retired or semi-retired people come together for friendship and meet most Tuesday mornings. There is a well balanced programme of speakers and visits arranged throughout the year. Before each meeting there is an opportunity to meet other members in a relaxed and informal setting with refreshments. It is a welcoming and supporting group of like-minded individuals.

With the launch of the club’s new website, www.rotherhamprobus.com, there has been a growing interest in membership.

Potential members can attend as a guest and see the format of the morning and enjoy the humorous, entertaining and well-informed speakers. If you want to know how Mars has influenced our society and our imagination, or talks about visiting Easter Island and other far flung lands, then go along to get a first-hand account.

If you are alone, at a loose end, wanting to make new friends or re-acquaint with past colleagues, then there has never been a better time to join. You are warmly invited to any of the club’s meetings at Broom Methodist Church, Stag Lane, Rotherham. There is ample free car parking and a bus stop is outside the venue.

Presentations coming up are: ‘Old Rotherham 1850-1950’; ‘Medieval Pilgrimage’; and ‘Inn and Out at the Top’.

For a full listing of subject titles and dates head over to the Rotherham Probus Club websit or email the Club Seceretary, Julie, on secretary@rotherhamprobus.com.
