Rotherham Metro Ramblers is a friendly and sociable local walking group who have organised walks on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Walks range from five miles to about 10 miles in a wide area from local Rotherham walks to ones in the Peak District, and sometimes in North Nottinghamshire, and East and West Yorkshire.
They also have an annual coach ramble, and an organised walking holiday. You are very welcome to go and try a couple of walks with them. See www.ramblers.org.uk/rotherham-metro for more information.

- Wednesday 2nd July: Elsecar Circular including Elsecar canal and reservoir, 6 miles
- Saturday 5th July: Skelmanthorpe, Scissett, Lower Cumberworth, Shelley, 10 miles
- Wednesday 9th July: Baslow and the Mines, Hassop, Calver, Curbar, 9.5 miles
- Saturday 12th July: Coach Ramble to Stamford, 6 mile and 10 mile walks
- Wednesday 16th July: Monyash circular, including Lathkill Dale and Magbie Mine, 10 miles
- Saturday 19th July: Langold circular from Langold CP via Firbeck and Letwell, 7 miles
- Wednesday 23rd July: Derwent Edge, Salt Cellar, Cakes of Bread, Derwent Dam, 7.5 miles
- Saturday 26th July: Rotherham Ring Route, Stage 7, Hooton Roberts to Wath 11 miles
- Wednesday 30th July: Monsal Head to Ashford in the Water, 7 miles
