Fitzwilliam Masonic Lodge in Rotherham was delighted to be able to contribute through the Provincial Grand Master’s Minor Grants the sum of £1,392 to the Rotherham Linus group to help with the valuable work they do in the community.

Project Linus in Rotherham is a member of the national Community Interest Organisation, run entirely by volunteers, providing a sense of security and comfort to sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers through the provision of new, homemade patchwork quilts, knitted blankets and incubator covers.

Beneficiaries include: young children leaving foster care, Rotherham Women’s Refuge, Rotherham Hospital Children’s Ward, Rotherham Hospice, Rotherham, Doncaster and Worksop Hospitals Premature Baby Wards.

The Provincial Grand Master’s Major and Minor Grants scheme donates hundreds of thousands of pounds annually to worthy causes in South and West Yorkshire. Local Lodges are able to name worthwhile charities and groups and submit bids for funds which, if successful, can help these groups immensely.
