Tickhill Parish Room have lots of new classes going on, starting in January. They are also having a new floor laid at the beginning of January, which will improve the look of the hall immensely. Bookings will be on hold that week (10th to 14th January), but back to normal after that. There are also plans afoot for new, more comfortable, chairs.
They had a busy night with the Late Night Shopping / Light Switch-On event, followed by Christmas Jumper Day on Saturday 27th November. They had their own Best Jumper / Best Outfit Competition – Anne Creaser’s mum was delighted with her box of Maltesers and Ted and Pauline Pasley joined in the fun with a pair of jumpers which won them a box of Milk Tray. All good fun and a fabulous turn-out of silly / unusual / lurid / noisy jumpers. Thanks to all who entered into the spirit of it all. Next year’s event will be bigger and better!
As they move on into 2022, there is plenty going on in the Parish Room – something for everyone. New to them in January will be Dadesley Crafters with sessions on a Tuesday from 5.00pm to 9.00pm. Ring Michelle for details of classes and booking on 07743 689641.
The WI will be in residence on Wednesday 5th January from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, with Francophiles later on at 7.30pm. All are welcome to both meetings.
Yoga with Louise is booked for Fridays at 9.30am., starting on 7th with a break on the 14th for the new floor ‘job’.
Helen O’Grady Drama Academy are starting sessions from Monday 17th January. For details call 07393 201229. Also coming in January will be Baby Massage – to be confirmed. If you are interested ring Nichola on 07748 668634.

Tickhill Film Society are back on 19th January with the fabulous Downton Abbey. Doors open at 6.30pm and the film starts at 7.00pm. Guests are welcome for £6.00. Hot drinks and biscuits will be served after the film to give you all a chance to chat about this, and the films coming up in the New Year.
ACCORD return with their monthly meetings on the last Wednesday of the month at 2.00pm.
Tickhill Parish Room’s regular Saturday Coffee Mornings continue from 10.00am to 12.00pm. If you fancy good company / good coffee and a good toasted teacake do join them.
