Maltby Hilltop Special School is cleaning up at this year’s Great British Spring Clean 2024: A Keep Britian Tidy national initiative.
Children aged two to 19 have been taking part across a two-week period, litter-picking on site at Hilltop and Forest View as well as on the streets of Maltby and the wider community, and successfully achieving their pledge of removing 22 bags of rubbish off the street and into the skip!
This is project work which will help Hilltop school, part of the Nexus Trust, achieve the international Eco School’s Green Flag award this year and is testament to the commitment to work towards the Trust goal to be net-zero as part of the CSIF plan.
Sue Searson, Eco Schools Lead. takes pride in their efforts and said: “Whole-school projects like these that are rooted in improvement of the local community are always close to our heart here at Hilltop School. Our young people love to take action and make a positive difference!”
