Les Francophiles de Tickhill

by | 5 April 2022 | Group meeting, Heritage, Hobbies, Rotherham

On Wednesday 6th April Catherine Greensmith returns to give an illustrated talk on Alfred Sisley. Sisley was born in France of British parents and spent most of his life there but retained his British citizenship. He worked alongside the French Impressionists and was a keen advocate of painting ‘en plein air’.

Following a brief AGM on 4th May, Steve Lovell, a wildlife enthusiast and tour leader, will give a talk on the fauna of the regions of Corrèze and the Dordogne.

Both talks promise to be very interesting and all will be welcome. The group meets in the Parish Room, Tickhill (DN11 9HZ) on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm. For further information please ring Janet Erridge on 01302 745281.
