After a very brief AGM, on Tuesday 7th May, Les Francophiles de Tickhill will welcome Margaret Alton, who will give a talk on the influence of French artists on the Scottish Colourists. The latter were significantly influenced by French avant-garde movements such as Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, and Fauvism. This promises to be a very interesting and enlightening evening, ideal for all Francophiles!
Meetings take place at 7.30pm in the Parish Room on the first Wednesday of each month. While meetings are held in English, there is always an opportunity to practise French over tea or coffee by joining those members of the group who are experienced French speakers.
