You’ll be able to grab the opportunity of seeing a special painting in your home when Wickersley-based landscape watercolour enthusiast Pete Thornton-Smith exhibits in April. He will be one of the many local crafts people exhibiting at the Valley Events ‘Craft-Gifts-Mind-Body–Spirit–Wellbeing and Physic Fayre’ taking place at the Mercure Hotel, Catcliffe just off the Sheffield Parkway on Saturday 20th April and Sunday 21st April from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
Incapable of drawing stick people at school, he decided to challenge himself and started attending workshops with Matthew Palmer some six years ago and, more recently, Bill Lupton and John Connelly. He now creates his own from pictures or whilst on holiday. The display will cover all of these sources.
So, why not treat yourself to either one of his original 20” x 16” mounted and/ or framed landscapes or perhaps one of them as a copy at a smaller size or even postcards, notelets or even coasters. Something for any space and pocket.
Pete also loans the originals out to local businesses complete with frame for £7.50 per month for a minimum period of four months after which you can change the picture and rebook or cancel.
