The Great Little Picture Show and Handmade for Christmas continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Sunday 7th December, from 10.00am to 4.00pm at Dovecot Gallery, Poplars Farm, Styrrup DN11 8NB. This ever-popular showcase features unique and original work created by one hundred artists and makers, offering the perfect opportunity to find something truly special to buy, take away and wrap up for Christmas. Visitors can enjoy coffee, tea and a warm welcome while browsing the displays.
On Friday 12th and Saturday 13th December at 7.30pm, A Christmas Carol will be performed – a reading of Charles Dickens’ much-loved festive tale, presented in Dickens’ own abridged version which he once toured himself. The story will be brought to life by four actors from Read2Write. Tickets are £5.00, including a glass of mulled wine and a homemade mince pie, and accompanied children can attend free of charge. Booking is essential.
