The Doncaster Spanish Society will meet on Thursday 19th June from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, when members Jackie Gladden and Jean Clark will present an illustrated talk on Diego Rivera and the Mexican Muralist Movement.

Rivera is best known for his politically charged murals adorning public buildings, particularly in Mexico City and the United States, as well as for his marriage to Frida Kahlo. The talk will explore Rivera’s life, his art, and the muralist movement – an artistic tradition rooted in the idealism of the Mexican Revolution. The talk will be delivered in both English and Spanish.

The event will take place at Doncaster Town Moor Golf Club, Bawtry Road, Belle Vue Way, DN4 5HU. Parking is available on site. Entry is £4.00 for non-members. Drinks will be available to purchase from the bar, and the Society will provide snacks.

Attendees are advised to check the Society’s Facebook page for any last-minute changes to the programme: www.facebook.com/Doncaster-Spanish-Society.
