Clap for the NHS

by | 5 August 2020 | Community Event, Rotherham

Local people made their way to Wickersley’s Rainbow Roundabout to ‘clap’ to mark the 72nd birthday of the NHS and to thank all those NHS staff and other key workers who have supported everyone so well during this COVID-19 emergency.
Councillor Sue Ellis, Chair of the Wickersley Parish Council, said: “Our Rainbow Roundabout has been a real community effort with people – and particularly children – adding their ribbons, pom-poms, rainbows and personal messages of thanks and appreciation to the NHS and all key workers.
“So there was no better place to go to clap for the 72nd birthday of our amazing NHS. And, as if by magic, we had a rainbow over our Rainbow Roundabout – and that made the clapping just that little bit more special.”
