Volunteers from Winthrop Gardens will be preparing and delivering ‘Christmas Afternoon Tea in a Box’ in a determined effort to stop the Covid Grinch stealing Christmas! Councillor Sue Ellis, Chair of Wickersley Parish Council, said: “Winthrop volunteers are determined to deliver a bit of festive cheer notwithstanding Tier 3 and Lockdown 2! Many of our regular customers, friends and supporters have enjoyed our Christmas events and we don’t want to disappoint this year! So, our volunteers are looking forward to preparing and delivering ‘Christmas Afternoon Tea in a Box’ to those living within a three mile radius or so of Wickersley! A traditional Afternoon Tea with scones and clotted cream – of course – and a couple of Christmas treats and surprises! This is a great way to treat yourself or a friend or family member!”
Christmas Afternoon Teas must be pre-booked and paid for in full in advance to confirm the booking. Bookings are being taken up to and including Wednesday 23rd December. The cost is £12.50 per person, including delivery. For more information call Anna Chester on 07397 039226 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
