Challenge Rotherham

In 2025 Rotherham will be the world’s first children’s capital of culture and as part of the project’s launch residents can sign up for a brand new creative challenge each week. Challenge Rotherham is a creative adventure, where people can be inspired by challenge ideas designed by children and young people in Rotherham.

From dance to football, drawing to exploring – each challenge is an opportunity to get to know the people and places around you, better.

Challenge Rotherham is running for six months – that’s nearly 30 weeks of creativity – and the first challenge will be set on Monday 28th February. There will then be one every Monday until the Rotherham Show in September.

Anybody and everybody can take part in the challenges. Whether you are 9 or 99, the organisers hope it inspires your creativity and introduces you to some of the brilliant children, young people and opportunities in Rotherham.

You can sign up at www.rotherham2025.com/hello to receive weekly challenge email fresh to your inbox – or, follow along on their Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Share your challenge responses by using #ChallengeRotherham on your social media and inspire other people to join you.
