Breathe Easy helps local people

Breathe Easy is one of several local charities receiving support from Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club. Part of the British Heart Foundation, it operates the Breathing Space facility on Badsley Moor Lane. Here is a real-life story about Breathe Easy and the help it provides from Tony Jackson, Secretary of Sitwell Rotary Club:

“I had heard about Breathe Easy as a nominated charity in our framework for giving. I had no idea where it was and what actually took place at the centre on Badsley Moor Lane. In January this year, my mother Betty Jackson was admitted to Rotherham hospital with a chest infection caused by food going into her lungs. She was treated in Rotherham Hospital before being moved to Breathe Easy where she stayed for over a week. I visited my mother on two occasions and found the staff to be very pleasant and caring, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were exceptional and every patient had a private room to recover. My mother has made a full recovery and never stops taking about the wonderful staff and the care she received at Breathe Easy. As a Rotarian it fills me with pride that we support such a great and worthwhile organisation that is based on our doorstep.”
