Teams needed to battle it out in It’s a Knockout!

by | 30 June 2024 | Community Event, Local Charity, Rother

If you fancy bashing your boss over the head with an inflatable, dressing up in giant costumes and tackling action-packed challenges then the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity has just the event for you!

The charity is hosting It’s a Knockout at Hooton Lodge Farm, Rotherham, on Sunday 7th July 2024 in conjunction with Weston Park Cancer Charity.

A host of amazing teams have already registered – a team from Tesco stores in Rotherham, Century Cladding and three teams made up of colleagues from The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s Acute Response Team, UECC and Family Health amongst others.

There’s still time for your team to enter too – but be quick!

Participants will compete in a series of hilarious and action-packed challenges inspired by the iconic BBC1 show and hosted by Off Limits. Do you fancy attempting the Slippery Summit or Bangers and Crash?
Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Form a team: Gather your colleagues, friends or family to create a team of 10 participants (minimum age 16).
  • Register: www.therotherhamft.nhs.uk/charity/events/its-a-knockout-registration
  • Pay your deposit: you can secure your team a place with a non-refundable £100 deposit – that’s just £10 per person.
  • Fundraise: Each team member needs to raise a minimum of £100. You can set up a team page, which everyone contributes to collectively raise £1,000. The charity will provide you with plenty of inspiration and ideas to help you achieve this target.

The charity is looking for corporate sponsors to help both charities to raise as much as possible. The event is a perfect opportunity to align your business with two amazing regional health charities while fulfilling your Environmental, Social and Governance Policy. So whether you can be the charity’s headline sponsor for £2,500 or can sponsor an individual game for £350, get in touch with the charity!

If you’re a local business selling cakes, handmade crafts, food, beauty products or something more unique, the charity also needs you to host a stall. It’s a unique opportunity to showcase your brand at a great event, whilst supporting good causes.
