Meets every Tuesday during term time at St Cuthbert’s Church Hall, Herringthorpe from 9.30am to 11.00am. The last session saw water fun and seaside craft.
Little Fishes Baby and Toddler Group
Meets every Monday during term time at Whiston Parish Hall from 9.30am to 11.00am. The final session before summer was at St Mary Magdalene Church when everyone enjoyed an outside session of water fun.
Open the Book
The Open the Book Team from St Mary Magdalene visits three local primary schools each month to lead assemblies. The volunteers get dressed up to tell Bible stories and some of the children are encouraged to dress up. All the schools enjoy visits from the group.
YouthZone
YouthZone from St Mary Magdalene, Whiston and St Cuthbert, Herringthorpe joined in with Hope Weekend organised by the Diocese of Sheffield. All youth groups in the Diocese are encouraged to take part in social action activities.
The young people decided to litter pick, starting at St Cuthbert Church, walking three different routes to St Mary Magdalene Church, collecting eight bags of litter. To celebrate completing the litter pick the group enjoyed pizzas, chocolate cake and games.
