Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club held their 36th Charter Night on Thursday 3rd October at the Aston Hall Hotel.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Rotherham Councillor Sheila Cowen and by the Assistant District Governor Liz Hepworth of Dronfield Rotary. The Mayor thanked Rotherham Sitwell for inviting her and congratulated the Club on all that they do to support the local community and the wider international Fellowship of Rotary. Sheila, who is on a mission to open up the mayoral domain during her reign, has invited the Rotary members to join her for a tea party in the near future.
Liz, the Assistant District Governor, also congratulated the Club on all that they do to support local charities. President Martin Davis then responded on behalf of the Club. It was a very enjoyable and successful Charter evening. Thanks go to all the members who helped in the organisation of the event.
