Rotherham Show returns to Clifton Park

Rotherham Council’s mighty Rotherham Show returns to the beautiful surroundings of Clifton Park on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September.

The Borough’s biggest cultural festival offers visitors laughs aplenty, horticultural heroes, circus delights, memorable music, fabulous shows, fairground thrills, vintage vehicles, outdoor theatre, blooms, bakes, cooking demos, epic entertainment, family fun and so much more!

In 2025 Rotherham will become the world’s first Children’s Capital of Culture, designed, and delivered by children and young people from our borough. And the journey to 2025 has already begun! Organisers are giving every child and young person in Rotherham a chance to help shape their borough’s future. Over the next two years, you can get involved in creative activities, be dazzled by performances and art, and join in making plans for 2025.

With children, young people, and families at its heart, the Children’s Capital of Culture Area is an exciting, creative, and interactive space, jam-packed with hands-on activities, brilliant shows, a family rave, Kaleider’s eye-catching play sculpture ‘Let’s Twist’ and Libraries Hub. Beloved Rotherham-based organisations Gulliver’s, Grimm & Co. and Magna will also be there throughout the weekend!

New for this year the Festival Village, curated by Flux Rotherham, will celebrate the year-round tradition of festivals across Rotherham with an amazing programme of dance, poetry, music, and workshops.

You can help singer-songwriter Ray Hearne write a love letter to Rotherham, dance along with the Wath Morris Minors, create your own personal travel poster with artist / designer Ellie Way, along with many more activities and performances to get you in the festival mood!

Curated by Rotherham Civic Theatre, the Chuckle Tent returns for a second year bringing a cavalcade of cracking comedy from funny folk including Martin Mor, Duncan Oakley, Scott Bennet and many more!

It wouldn’t be Rotherham Show without the favourites, Let’s Circus with their new show Happy Daze, the beloved Vintage Vehicle Display, Companion Dog Show, and of course the one and only Made in Rotherham Horticultural Show.

Enjoy a brilliant programme of music on the Rockingham Stage, Rhythms of Rotherham Stage, Bandstand and across the park. Thrilling performances from Rumbi Tauro, Astrels, Rajasthani Brass Band, Los Camaradas, KIER, DJ Riff Raff and Muki to name a few.

Browse the Produce and Makers Market with its stash of handmade and tasty goodies; soak up the colour and flavours of Rotherham Bazaar; and if you’re looking for a lunchtime treat, then take a trip to the Food Court where you can sit awhile, eat good food and soak up the atmosphere.

Rotherham Show is a fantastic weekend for the whole family to enjoy, celebrating the uniqueness and spirit of the borough, giving people the chance to come together to enjoy a truly amazing free event and make lasting memories.

Printed programmes will be available over the weekend and you will also find wayfinding banners including a map of the festival and timings to help you find your away around.
