The Rotherham Community Lottery is a fantastic way to raise funds for your group – signing up is free, you get you’re a customisable lottery page for your good cause, and good causes keep 50% from every ticket they sell.
You can purchase tickets online and support the local good cause of your choice. Tickets start from £1 each. The draw is weekly, with a jackpot of £25,000; other prizes being £2,000, £250 and £25.
50% of every ticket sale goes to your chosen good cause. A further 10% from every ticket will go into a Rotherham Central Fund and the remainder will be put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT. Leading lottery management company, Gatherwell, has been appointed by Voluntary Action Rotherham to run the scheme, having already launched similar lotteries elsewhere.
Shafiq Hussain, Chief Executive of VAR, said: “Voluntary groups and charities do amazing work in Rotherham and we know that funding is always stretched. The Rotherham Community Lottery is a brilliant way of raising much needed funds for third sector groups.”
