With the cost-of-living crisis continuing and sadly more families finding themselves needing support, Rotherham Families First are more than determined than ever to make a difference with the Rotherham Christmas Toy Appeal 2025.
Help to put a smile on a child’s face on the big day by donating a gift to the Appeal and experience the joy of giving during the season of goodwill.
Ann Levick, the Appeal’s organiser, said: “The need never goes away, it increases year by year, and with your help we can continue put a smile on a child’s face on Christmas morning and let them know that someone cares.
“We could not achieve any of this without the support from Rotherham people like you who come together each year. Last year, your support helped us provide over 2,000 gifts to Rotherham’s children and young people. At this special time of the year, we want to make sure that no Rotherham child goes without a gift.
“This couldn’t happen without people like yourselves supporting us, not only at Christmas, but all year through.”
This has been a special year for Rotherham Families First. In May, they were presented with the King’s Award for Voluntary Service by the Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire followed by an invite to attend the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in June.
The Christmas Toy Appeal 2025 will be launched at Parkgate Shopping on Friday 7th November, 6.00pm to 7.00pm, and you are all invited to attend this special, festive event.

Christmas cards
Young local supporter Charlotte Oram is selling hand crafted Christmas cards for the Appeal, as she has done since 2021. This year’s designs are The Grinch, fa la la llama and mistletoad, and she is now taking orders. A pack of 30 cards will be £25.00 and all proceeds will go towards buying gifts for the children and young adults.
