The ‘Energy team’ from Rotherfed have been busy visiting groups and supporting the people of Rotherham to reduce their energy usage and utility costs in their homes. Over the colder months they have seen more people access this free service. Practical help and support are offered by the team of trained energy advisers which has resulted in savings for many households on their fuel bills.
Any Rotherham resident is welcome to get in touch with them for help. Local people can become volunteers too and get involved to deliver energy-saving activities in their own communities.
Rotherfed’s Energy Know How team advise and guide energy consumers who need support to reduce their fuel bills in a variety of ways:
- Helping to reduce physical health problems made worse by high fuel costs by enabling people to be warmer at home and releasing income for other household essentials.
- Reducing the anxiety / stress / worry experienced by people who are struggling with high fuel bills.
- Delivering energy efficiency advice / support to reduce consumption and resulting fuel costs.
- Establishing community-led groups to empower local people to reduce future energy consumption.
