Friends in Harmony recently presented a Midsummer Music Concert at St Martin’s Church, Firbeck. On one of the hottest evenings of the year, the audience enjoyed a varied musical programme, featuring everything from Simon and Garfunkel and Freddie Mercury to the lively tunes of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Sweet Caroline. A selection from Rodgers and Hammerstein added further variety to the evening. The event brought together friends, families, and the wider community, with free Prosecco and strawberries served alongside generous raffle prizes. A total of £751 was raised in support of the church and its upkeep.
