From Saturday 24th May, Grimm & Co will kick off their much-loved Festival of Stories with guest authors, poets and a few magical surprises in Rotherham.

Join in the fun of the Festival of Stories throughout the May half-term week with family events at the magical Emporium of Stories and around Rotherham. From storytelling to story-making and everything in-between, there are creative events and activities for all the family, including:

  • The Blanket Fort Theatre Companwill bring their sensory, immersive play ‘The Last Flight of the Unicorn” to children of all abilities.
  • The CBeebies Bedtime Stories stars are in Rotherham, reading and raving for a full day of story fun.
  • Award-winning photographer, Elisa Iannacone, shares her visual storytelling tips and reveals a new series of art created to share the stories and dreams of Rotherham’s young people.
  • Meet world-class authors and illustrators at the Children’s Books North Takeover Day.
  • A Julia Donaldson themed day and draw-along with illustrator and creator, Lydia Monks.
  • Take a seat and a moment to reflect on the stories brewed up over tea with beautiful dance and storytelling from Trigger’s Tea Break.
  • Make your own story and create your own characters with Adam Blake’s Adventure Walks.
