The Grove and Hallcroft Methodist Churches

by | 31 October 2025 | Community Event, Community Focus, Group meeting, Hobbies, Local Experiences, Retford, Social Group

The Grove and Hallcroft Methodist Churches together form the Methodist presence in Retford. While they work closely together, they remain separate units, joining for certain services, events, and special occasions to share in worship, fellowship, and community. The Grove recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of Songs of Praise being recorded at the church. The celebration brought together old and new friends to lift their voices in joyful song and commemorate a very special moment in the story of The Grove. Another highlight in The Grove’s calendar is the now annual Star Festival, taking place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November. The sanctuary will be filled with creative displays from local groups and schools, and there will be performances by community groups throughout the weekend. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments while exploring the beautiful church building. Sunday services will be held throughout November.
