Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Retford helped NPAC (National Police Aid Convoy) load a container of goods which are heading for Zambia. The items included school desks / tables, books, uniforms and, of course, baby bundles, joy bags and toybags.
At the Club’s recent coffee morning at Grove Street Chapel, they raised money to be used to buy items such as terry towelling nappies and pins for the baby bundles for new mums in Zambia. Another highlight of recent activities was the Club’s charter, when they celebrated 80 years of Retford Inner Wheel Club. At their candle lighting ceremony, the words spoken by their newest member, Andrea, summed up Inner Wheel: “I am lighting this candle to the future to add my light to the fabulous, welcoming light I have found in you all as we continue to have fun and friendship whilst doing a great service in the helping of others.”
