Les Francophiles de Tickhill’s 2025 – 2026 programme starts on Wednesday 1st October, when Elaine Jerrom will be sharing tales of travelling with teenagers through France. Elaine, a longtime teacher of French, will reminisce about the joys, trials and tribulations of leading groups of young people to France. It promises to be a lively talk!
Subscriptions will also be due in October. If you are a renewing member, the Treasurer will be in contact with you beforehand to explain how this can be done, but new members will be very welcome on the night when they will be able to enrol and subscribe at £20.00 per person. This covers the ten meetings throughout the year and all refreshments. Visitors are most welcome for £5.00 per person, repaid if joining on the night.
The group meets at 7.30pm in the Parish Room on the first Wednesday of each month between October and July. Meetings are in English but there is always an opportunity to practise your French over tea / coffee by joining those members of the group who are experienced French speakers.
