Rotherham as a Minster Town has a lot to offer. Founded in the Middle Ages, its name originated from old English ‘Homestead on the Rother’.
Throughout its history it has marked it presence through its people, events and places.
The stories need to be told so why not go along and meet Rotherham District Civic Society’s volunteer guides and explore our fanstastic past.
The walk will be at a gentle pace covering the main areas around the Town Centre. There will be some kerbs and uneven surfaces but the majority of the walk will be along pedestrianised walkways.
