The Friends of Bassetlaw Museum are very pleased to be able to confirm that the Oriontree Alpacas will be back in the museum gardens from 6.00pm on Thursday 16th July.

The Committee would also like to thank the family of the late Veda Brocklesby for making the Alpacas available again.

The event will be very similar to previous years: the garden will be available for picnics, cakes will be on sale and garden games will be a plenty. There will also be a raffle. Families are welcome but children must be accompanied and supervised at all times.

Admission is free for the Friends of Bassetlaw Museum, or £3.00 per adult, £6.00 per family. Not a Friend? Go along and join on the night, annual membership is only £8.00. Further information about the event, if there is any, will be posted on Facebook (Friends of Bassetlaw Museum – fobm).

The Friends continue to offer tours of the Museum. There are regular public tours as well as the opportunity for social or interest groups to book their own dedicated tour. These tours all focus on the building, its history and the people who have lived there. Whilst they are free, a voluntary £5.00 cash donation is suggested. For further information about the date of the next public tour or to arrange a private tour please either contact the Museum or email fobm.tours@gmail.com.

If you would like to know more about The Friends and what they do or would like to join them, please email fobm.membership@gmail.com. Membership application forms can also be found on their Facebook page or via the home page of the Bassetlaw Museum website.
