Get ready for this year’s Whiston Summer Gala on Saturday 4th July. Following the success of last year’s event, the gala will once again feature a seaside theme and promises an afternoon and evening packed with entertainment for all ages. The gala will run from 2.00pm to 7.00pm, with a road closure in place on High Street and Turner Lane from 11.00am to 9.00pm. Taking place across the Village Green, High Street, Parish Hall and the lawn of Whiston Care Home, the event will include children’s rides, games and activities, fair rides, live music, craft stalls, food and refreshments.
Entertainment throughout the day will feature a brass band, DJ and the headline act, the Ed Sheeran Songbook tribute band. Organisers say the gala promises to be a lively community celebration with plenty to see and do throughout the afternoon.
