The Crossing Church in Worksop is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a Flower Festival, showcasing the wide variety of groups who use the building and are part of the Crossing community.
The festival will take place on Saturday 16th May from 10.00am to 3.00pm, with visitors invited to explore the flower displays. The café will be open throughout the day for refreshments, and again on Monday 18th May from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
A celebration service will be held on Sunday 17th May at 10.30am, led by Rev Mark Pengelly, who originally opened The Crossing 20 years ago. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Also in May, Singing with Dementia will take place on Wednesday 27th May at 2.00pm. All are welcome to join for an enjoyable afternoon of singing and socialising.
The next charity coffee morning will be held on Friday 29th May in support of SENSE – National Deafblind and Rubella Association.
5th Worksop (Methodist) Brownies
The group currently has 20 Brownies and would like to continue to grow, but requires additional volunteers to support its activities. All leaders are volunteers, and the role is a significant but rewarding commitment.
Anyone interested in helping, or seeking more information, is encouraged to get in touch. Visitors are also very welcome to come along and see what the group does. Meetings take place on Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm to 7.30pm at The Crossing.
