Bassetlaw Foodbank (BFB) has a series of fundraising events planned at the Hive Café and Launderette throughout April and May. Each event helps support the charity’s vital work providing emergency food parcels to people in crisis.
Events taking place in April include:
- Thursday 2nd April – Easter Egg Hunt on the BFB allotments. Suggested donation £3.00. A children’s buffet lunch will be served in the Hive Café.
- Thursday 9th April – Children’s crafts in the café. £5.00 per child, including a lunch box.
- Thursday 16th April – Bingo evening at 6.00pm. Prizes include afternoon tea for two, gift hampers and more. £7.00 per person, including sandwiches.
- Tuesday 21st April – Monthly Crafternoon Tea. £12.00 per person, including all materials and a delicious afternoon tea.
Events planned for May include:
- Friday 8th May – VE Day Afternoon Tea. £7.50 per person, with nostalgic entertainment alongside a traditional afternoon tea.
- Tuesday 19th May – Monthly Crafternoon Tea. £12.00 per person, including all materials and afternoon tea.
Week commencing Tuesday 26th May – Children eat free during half term at the Hive Café and Launderette. - Thursday 28th May – Children’s crafts in the café. £5.00 per child, including a lunch box.

For those unable to visit the café during the day, the Hive Café and Launderette is now available on Just Eat, offering the same meals and treats for delivery.
