There’s something special about coming together to remember someone you love. Sharing treasured memories, celebrating their life and being surrounded by others who understand can make a difficult journey feel a little less lonely.
Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity and Barnsley Hospital Charity are delighted to be hosting their Autumn Memory Walk at Manvers Lake for the second year. Sponsored by Bartholomew and Sons, the event is a chance for local communities to come together to remember loved ones who have passed away in hospital, while celebrating their lives and the memories they have left behind.
The 5K walk, taking place on Sunday 18th October is a meaningful day where families, friends and colleagues can walk side by side, share stories and remember the people who will always remain part of their lives.
On the day, participants will have the opportunity to write a special memory or message to hang on the beautiful Memory Tree. There will also be stalls and live singing before and after the walk.
Tickets are £12.00 per adult and £8.00 per child, with every participant receiving an Autumn Memory Walk T-shirt, medal and fundraising pack. Participants can then choose to raise sponsorship in memory of their loved one.
