With the arrival of spring, rehearsals are going well for Ryton Chorale’s forthcoming concert. The choir will perform Requiem by Gabriel Fauré at The Crossing, Newcastle Street, Worksop on Saturday 28th March at 7.30pm. The supporting programme will include an organ solo and choral works by César Franck, Felix Mendelssohn and Gabriel Fauré.
Two accomplished soloists will join the choir: soprano Rachel Abbott and tenor Alex Kirkland, both of whom have sung with Ryton Chorale previously and will be familiar to regular supporters.

The choir welcomes new members in all voice parts, particularly tenors and basses. The ability to read music is an advantage, but enthusiasm and commitment to learning the music are most important, and support is always available. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at Holy Family School, Netherton Road, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. New members are encouraged to go along and give it a try.
