Members of Worksop Rotary have been busy recently, delivering purple crocus corms to schools and communities to mark International Polio Day. This global initiative, supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary Clubs worldwide, symbolises the fight to eradicate polio. The Spring into Autumn event enabled the club to present cheques totalling £1,000 to the Weston Park Scanner Appeal – a fantastic achievement, with thanks to everyone who contributed. The Community Fund has also awarded a grant to the Junior Darts Club of Worksop, which supports 60 young people across two weekly sessions and was in need of new dartboards.
