Nottinghamshire Police invite you to join them for their December Bassetlaw beat surgeries. Police beat surgeries provide an opportunity for the local community to meet their Neighbourhood Policing teams, where you can raise any concerns you may have with them.
The surgeries are held in local venues within the community, they’re informal and you’ll have the chance to speak to your local team about any issues affecting your area, obtain crime prevention advice and raise any concerns. There is no requirement to book in advance and you can pop in any time between the stated hours below. Their upcoming Beat Surgeries currently booked are:
- Carlton in Lindrick, Civic Centre: Thursday 18th December, 5.00pm to 7.00pm
- NCHA 31, Monmouth Court, Prospect: Thursday 18th December, 5.00pm to 7.00pm
- Manton Family Hub, Shrewsbury Road: Thursday 11th December, 3.00pm to 5.00pm

Keeping Bassetlaw safe: a year-end update from your Neighbourhood Policing Team
As 2025 draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a brief update with our community. Policing continues to face challenges nationally, and those concerns are felt locally too. However, I’m proud to say that these challenges have not distracted us from our core mission: keeping Bassetlaw safe. When I stepped into the role of Neighbourhood Policing Inspector in November 2024, my goals were clear—to detect more crime and to earn your trust and confidence. I’m pleased to report that we’ve made significant progress. Detection rates have improved, and we’re working hard to promote the work we do every day.
There is still more to achieve, but I want to recognise the dedication of our officers, who put themselves at risk daily to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. Their commitment is unwavering, and it makes a real difference in our communities. I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our partners, fellow emergency services, and—most importantly—you, the residents of Bassetlaw. Your support is invaluable.
