Crags Radio and Community Café

Crags Radio is a non-profit, volunteer-run community radio station proudly serving North Nottinghamshire and North-East Derbyshire. Their mission is simple — to give local people a voice, celebrate creativity, and bring our community together through music, conversation, and connection.

Now in their fifth year of broadcasting, they’ve grown into an award-winning station that reaches over 25,000 weekly listeners across the UK and beyond. Every presenter, producer, and volunteer plays a part in keeping the station alive — driven not by profit, but by passion for what community means.

In July 2025, they expanded their vision beyond the airwaves by opening Craggy’s Community Café and Music Shop on Elmton Road in Creswell. It’s more than just a café — it’s a warm, welcoming space where people can meet, chat, and belong. From their Chatty Café mornings and Book Club to Gaming Club and Jam Sessions, Craggy’s has quickly become a local hub for friendship, creativity, and wellbeing.

But like many community projects, they face real financial struggles. Rising costs, limited grant funding, and increasing rent mean every sale, donation, and volunteer hour makes a difference. Despite these challenges, they remain determined — because what they do matters. They tackle loneliness, create opportunities, and help our community feel connected and valued.

They’d love you to be part of it — whether by visiting the café, volunteering, donating, sponsoring, or simply tuning in and sharing what they do. Listen live at http://www.cragsradio.co.uk, visit Craggy’s Café, 20 Elmton Road, Creswell and follow them on social media @cragsradio.
