Retford Model Railway Exhibition

The Retford Model Railway Exhibition takes place on Saturday 15th November at The Elms Hotel, London Road, Retford DN22 7DX, from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Admission is £6.00, with free entry for under-16s accompanied by an adult.
Presented by Bassetlaw Railway Society, the annual exhibition  features more than ten layouts, alongside traders and specialist stands. Highlights include Wardwood, capturing the transition from steam to diesel traction in the West Riding of Yorkshire; Wadsley Works, with its superbly atmospheric northern grime; and Newton Folly, inspired by Rugeley, Trent Valley, complete
with its distant power station.
Society member Phil Lewis, who builds a new layout each year, will also showcase his latest creation, demonstrating what can be achieved even in limited space. With a variety of displays and themes, there will be something to interest everyone. Parking at The Elms is free, and the venue offers full disabled access.
