The September monthly meeting of Worksop u3a featured a performance by the group’s very own Steelpantastic band, bringing a true sense of carnival with a vibrant Caribbean flair. The lively music lifted everyone’s spirits, and several members even got up to dance. A huge thank you goes to the band for providing such wonderful entertainment.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday 20th November and will include the Annual General Meeting – an important date not to be missed, as members will find out who has been elected as the new Chair and Vice-Chair.

The afternoon’s speaker will be David Skillen, who will give a fascinating talk entitled ‘Forwarded is Formined’, focusing on the Royal Observer Corps in both peace and wartime. The meeting will be held at Carlton Civic Centre between 1.30pm and 4.00pm, with tea and coffee served.
