Braithwell resident Peter A Dunstan is this year again selling his handmade Christmas items made from reclaimed pallets to raise money for charity. Proceeds to be shared between The British Forces Charities and When You Wish Upon A Star.
The Christmas items will be on sale at the Braithwell Christmas Fair on Sunday 23rd November in the car park at 4 High Street, Braithwell, and they will also be on sale at Dovecot Gallery, Poplar Farm, Styrrup DN11 8NB, and at 4 On The High Street, Hatfield, Doncaster DN7 6RY (Please check for openings times).
You may have read some of Peter A Dunstan’s stories in this magazine. He said: “After retirement, and to ward off boredom, I took up various activities. Two of these were making items from discarded pallets and storytelling. I may be a master of none but it keeps me robust and active.”
In 2024, Peter made a Christmas tree to decorate his garden using wood intended for the skip. After being asked by family and friends to make one for them too it soon became a forest of Christmas trees. So, he started making this year’s items during the summer to maximise his charitable donation.
